Lifestyle and distribution
The film introduces two native large carnivores – the lynx and the wildcat. The shy hunters are an endangered species in Germany. Their way of life, their prey and their habitat are depicted in the film in nature footage and vivid graphics.
The threat posed by humans, be it through hunting, reduction of habitats and fragmentation of the habitat through road construction, is the subject of the concluding chapters.
